| Advt Spoof |
| Hair Product advertisements are in general bloated claims - misleading and at times, cheap lies. This page is a spoof on bloated claims | |
| When we think about some hair product advertisements seriously, then we realise that there are too many persons out there in the market like Vultures to drain our money. We can of course relax because we do not realise when and how we are short changed ! | |
| hairbasics and hairsense can help to judge the shallowness of many advertised claims | |
| Wholesome Nutritive Shampoo - Why not Invent ? - 1 | |
| Milk is a Wholesome
food containing Proteins, Fats, Carbohydrates, Minerals and Vitamins. It
is safe and time tested. Even the new born babies can take it. If
to an Ordinary Shampoo, if we add a bit of Milk, then that Shampoo should
be a wholesome, nutritive Shampoo. It should be more
functional than just a Protein Shampoo as per the Science learnt
from Protein based Shampoo Advertisements.
Nowadays, there is some new advertised Science with every product. Shampoos based on Cow's milk can be directed towards Ladies with delicate skins, at a premium and for general market, buffalo's milk shampoos should do If Words can fill the bill, there cannot be any poor country in the World. All Countries have politicians and advertisers |
|
| Why not Invent ? - 2 Instant Energy booster ! | |
| One old advertisement
message for a shampoo was that the hair fall is due to breakage of the
hair. With the use of that Shampoo, the problem gets solved. The
hair becomes strong enough to hold a string of beads, or say a Toothbrush,
a spoon etc on the hairs !
The instant Energy / Strength booster in Shampoo be made commercially available. An ingredient in a Shampoo adds to extra weight bearing capacity of the Hair ? ! Wait, in a year or two, with further developments, this may be used in an Innovative Heart Cream - the Heart will become so strong that you can do away with Bye- Pass Surgery The Medical fact: A hair can hold about 80 gms weight. If after the application of that shampoo, if a hair can hold a weight of 90 gms, then we can be sure that the strength of the hair has definitely improved. It is a simple Scientific test that can be shown on the TV also. Now Proctor and Gamble indulges in similar misrepresentation for their Pantene Shampoo containing Pro V. Refer to Pro V in the other section of this site. I think it is a tall baseless claim |
|
| Why not Invent ?- 3 General Purpose Cracks Closer | |
| The Model in one Advertisement
has Cracks / Cuts etc in her hair. With the application
of a Clinical Novel Shampoo, these Cracks in the hair Vanish. This
is a fantastic Scientific progress. I do wish
they would perfect and enlarge its scope for the benefit of the public.
How nice it would be if such Dead part Reviving item can be used for healing Bone Fractures ! We do not have to roam with a plaster or lie in the hospital bed for days. We can crash our car in the morning, break a few bones in the hands or legs of the pedestrian, take this shampoo Chemical from the dashboard, have a glass or two with that fellow who got knocked down, go to the Police station to report the complaint, proceed to Insurance Company to lodge the claim and then go home or office, as the mood dictates. Would it not be fun to have such an exciting day ! Any day, would be a millennium |
|
| Absurdity in such misleading claim - proof is simple | |
| They
create a Scare / doubt in your mind so that you may presume that
cuts / cracks are the reason for hair loss and you will buy that Shampoo
next time. Nothing is farther from truth.
Make a small " V" Shaped cut in one of the Nails. The cut will not close even after a month, while the Nail grows. You can test that out. [acs] Alternately, you can pull out a hair or cut about 3 inches of a hair. Make a couple of Cracks or Pin Marks, if you can. As it is a dead piece, it does not matter whether it is on the Head or outside. Apply that advertised Shampoo on the cut piece. Check after 5 minutes, one hour, one day or a year. The cracks cannot close.[ If it does, please buy that shampoo for domestic use.It would be handy and cheap than calling a plumber for attending to the pipe line. A plastic bucket can last for years and years.] Because the Hair and Nails are Dead parts, we are able to cut them without any pain. No need for any experiment, if you are not inclined. The 2 WD! |
|
| Why not Invent ?- 4 Greening India fast and further ! | |
| New
Organics is a root nourishing Shampoo. Let
us accept that in face value. It supports the inference that New Organics
as well as many other
Shampoos can reach upto the
"roots or the live zone of the hair". If this innovation in Shampoo
Technology is true,
Why can't the Doctors pass the Medicine via a Chocolate or Ice Cream for our live parts if a Shampoo can revive a dead part so easily ? [ outside hair is a dead piece ] Our family Doctors prescribe different medicines for Virus Infection, Digestive problems, Malaria, Chest congestion, etc. They just hand over the pills. And if we pay more to satisfy their greed, they even pierce our Blood System with sharp needles. The pain is not less just because it is called an injection ! If such technology is perfected and broad based, the barren lands in India can be made fertile. Our GDP Growth can easily go past 12% per year |
|
| Why not ? invention 5 Hydrolysed Protein boost | |
| Feeding
the hair with Proteins is a highly beneficial exercise, if you watch TV
advertisements. But, it is for the Sellers and may not be for the purchasing
public, as one would like to assume.
If Hydrolysed Protein is beneficial for the Hair, Why not use the fermented / Bacteria reacted Hydrolysed Idli ? As a Tamilian Iyengar, it is my bounden duty to take the cause of Idli. Why not add this Proteinous, easily digestable Idli Paste in a Shampoo? Or better, an Idli based Hair Oil so that the Hair can grow faster? Why not use Chana ? Jains / vegetarians can benefit. Some Medicines come in Gelatin Capsules. Gelatin is Animal Protein. The Gelatin capsule and medicines have not saved our hair. Gelatin is Sticky. Tamilian civilisation is more than 2500 years old. Tamil is one of the Four Official Languages in Singapore. A dam built across Cauvery River is 1800 years old and is still stable. Nitesh Kumar and the Indian Railways will find that difficult to accept such feats - their standard excuse, when small culverts and bridges collapse, will go up in smokes. Yet Tamilians too suffer from Hair Loss. If Protein is the clue, with Idli, a remarkable Invention perfected Centuries back, they would have invented a Protein based Hair Loss cure 2000 years back |

| Why not Invent ? - 6 Oxy Shampoo ! | |
| Tooth paste with Oxygen
bubbles entrapped have already come in the Indian Market. And now we also
have mineral water, with extra oxygen in it.
On the hospital bed, when the need arises, there is always Oxygen cylinder to pump oxygen into the system. To revive the hair in its parting days, should we not have Oxygenated Hair Cream ? Japanese may come with this cream, now that they make money from Ozone sessions to rejuvenate the body ! |
|
| Why not Invent ? 7 Creating artificial demand and misleading | |
| Watch this: The
poor School Girl is 'Sticky' to her friends because of her hair condition. Why
Ridicule a Child to sell a product ? It is in extreme bad taste. Companies
do that ! This was for Clinic Shampoo
That Girl on TV has used Excess Oil probably as per the photographer's advice and her hair style looks very flat. Sticky becomes Smart by using the 1997 latest Shampoo containing Coconut Oil and Protein as shown in the TV advertisement. The Children from Middle class families would now know about Clinic Science. Tomorrow some other advertisers may create a new Science for Toothpaste, Biscuit, Cereals, lipstick, etc. The children from the poor families, who have no TV are being deprived of these latest developments in the Scientific front. I hope some Activists Groups or others would take this up! Add these New Sciences in Schools. If you want to be sure that the girl is all right, just watch the 1998 December advertisement for Operation Flood. The same girl / model is all smiles with a glass of Milk. After all, Milk is more nutritive than shampoo |

| Extra comments | |
| In 1967, Journal
of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Research were routine magazines of
study during my MBA course. According to them, then, 5 Million Dollars
was the desirable advertisement budget to launch a product nationally in
America.
In India, it was 5 Crores or just a Million Dollars, at that time. And India has roughly 3 times more population compared to America and 17 major languages - 17 identifiable segments and more people. Indian Budget should have been around 100 Million Dollars - not just one Million Americans were spending nearly 50 times more, even then. Why imitate them / accept that standard ? Now, in India also, they spend much more. The cost is finally recovered in the Price. The public pays for the gaudy show - all over the World |
|
|
Google ads in this site: Site Policy - Please refer Site map 2 and also for rufooled section |
| Intentionally misguiding the public should be an immediately punishable crime as per my standards | |
| SEBI
has given guidelines for 'disclosures' if a company seeks funds from the
public. IRDA
has regulations for the Insurance Industry. Misleading and over claims
are not permitted in the sales leaflets, an insurance company can print
or issue to the public
Can there not be similar 'rules and guidelines' for these advertisements ? Consumer Products are bought majority population in all countries. It may be sheer apathy, corruption or whatever. Public suffers. In 1995 and twice thereafter, I made 2 complaints to Advertising Council of India. They are yet to respond. They request the public through their TV ads to inform them of any false or misleading claims of products - as if they are persons in their nappies and ignorant. It is cheap window dressing. Around 1995, a class mate of mine was the Chairman. Do they not have guidelines for their members or resources to check the advertisements ? Their stance looks shallow. It may just be a lobbying centre for the advertisers. TV will remain mute because Shampoo, as a category, is the Number one product of advertisements in TV. TV is a more effective medium for mass Consumer Products like Soap, Wafers, Chocolates, Pickles, et cetera which are impulse driven. So they may not go on head on collision course with advertisers - sales / advertisements buys their silence |

| My goal / Request: ............................Making Swapna Free to the World |
|
Swapna Hair Enricher, as a Hairsaver, can help
Millions across the World to
retain the God given natural and free, anti aging
Cosmetic aid, the Hair, for a long period of their lives
- say even after 60 years. The site elaborates that with sufficient proofs / supportive details. I am looking for a Philanthropist who can buy Swapna's Technology and make it Free to the World. I lack the finance to retire peacefully now. One cannot preach philosophy on an empty stomach. But I still hate the thought of selling the Technology to Companies, who can milk the public dry. Mad is the epithet that I earn frequently for this approach, now that I have closed my earlier main business. I can wait for one more year. Refer Swapna or Cocolite and think what you can do to meet the above goal |
