3. NHRC demands CBI probe into 2002 Gujarat Riots ! Are the above 2 news irrelevant to them now ? 

So if a particular section of the people are forced out of another state for lack of protection, [ fearing life and their livelihood, for which they came from far ] it is a clear violation of Human Rights. 

TV and Newspapers have blared the details to the entire World. But NHRC does not know that or knowing it, does not act ! Why then, have an ineffective outfit with Public Money ? 

Police Force is used to evict the Farmers from the land, alloted / earmarked for Posco's proposed steel plant. It is Agricultural land. Farmers and agricultural labourers have not been paid / compensation package has not been worked out. Some Farmers have barricaded their area and an ex sarpanch say openly of the 'force being used to harass and drive them out'  - CNBC showed the pictures

What does NHRC do ? Nothing. A proposed steel company gets nearly 3 times assets as gifts from the Government, if you refer to 'gift iron ore' page. And the poor is trampled

How else can anyone like me understand their stated demand to seek a CBI probe into Gujarat Riots of 2002 ? - and glossing over today's blatant violations. It is a poor and cheap joke

If this is the standard, I fear that they may ask for a fresh enquiry into Partition Riots also and keep themselves in power, authority and long term, extended employment after retirement !

After checking the details available to him then, he made an extra ordinary comment that if a Judge cannot easily move about in freedom, there is no worthwhile Government in place

If an individual or considerable section of the people do not have freedom to move about, then also it is condemnable and matter for thought and action. In a democracy, the President is First among Equals and is not above me or anyone. That is all you and I have to know and care about and insist

Mr. Anand's comment, elevating a Judge to someone extraordinary, precious and above the level of other Indians, was an irrational comment in my view, then and now, misinterpreting the spirit of the Law

He also went to Godhra, checked the burnt train carriage, had meetings with many considered relevant by him. He knew the problem / the brief, had the authority / sanction to make an assessment and should have had the power to take the necessary action. Otherwise, he should not have taken the job. Simple. 

Do I volunteer to become PM of India and have domicile in Assam and beyond ? I prefer to be on my own than have Naqli Gandhi dynasty as my boss

If NHRC demands a CBI probe now after 5 years, as an outsider who has to go by the reports in Times of India, I have to conclude

Justice Anand / NHRC failed miserably to deliver and are fishing for excuses to prolong / flay a dead horse, to enjoy added perks and power for the post retirement benefits of some

Justice Anand was incompetent or inefficient for the Job undertaken by him, is my view. He has not completed the job. Now someone else will redo the whole thing, add a bit more, with some more money and stretchable time limits. 

Do they announce that compensation for North Indians pushed out of Mumbai, Nasik and Poona ? The lost their local housing and living ? Did they pay such amount to the sufferers of 1985 Gujarat riots ? !

On the day of Sabarmati Express mishap, unaware of the news, I returned in my usual route, adjacent to 2 Muslim areas. No problem. On the next day when bandh turned gradually into a riot / law and order problem, there was safety for all - be it Hindus or Muslims. 

[ Instead of desirable one policeman for 1000 people, we have one for nearly 2000 for lack of recruitment. A raw recruit gets below Rs 3000 per month for 12 hours duty - and more, when needed. Even out of that, 20% is roughly misused for self styled VIPs - judges included. Underpaid and understaffed persons get indoctrinated to Corruption. Shortage reinforces that. Public only suffers ]

Narendra Modi / his government handled the matter far, far better than what I had seen in 40 years - better than the troubles faced after Advani's rath yatra and arrest or solanki's blatant communal twist. Modi's governance is far better than what I had seen or heard from others in the last 41 years. But then, he is the favourite whipping boy ! 

Another similar publicity seeking shallow sermons:  For Publicity, it pays to talk about Aids because America does. We hardly did anything for Malaria which kills more Indians every year. There was an ineffective, corrupt program called NMEP [ non malaria eradication program ] in 1960
