One Note: In my opinion, SEBI appears to be dynamic and public spirited in action. Mr. Damodaran, after taking over, not only sounds sincere and a doer, but has actually done something good for the future

I liked their actions with the P notes, even if some wordings led to some unwanted initial confusion. That again could be more due to the mindless, irresponsible and immatured comments blared in channels like CNBC TV 18, which reacted as if they are paid mouth piece of some Foreign Institutional Investors. Not one channel or the business press mentioned that P notes was also a lucrative way to earn extra money for the FIIs and save on  Tax as well

Mr. Bhave may also take note -  if his prompt action to reduce the time period for listing, is an indicator. He gives the impression of a quiet, efficient operator who does not seek extra publicity

Besides spreading share purchase as an investment option to a wider section of the public and likely financial benefits hopefully, [Dhirubhai's street smart money making exercise with million backers ] it may reduce the First Day, Lottery Earnings for the select / moneyedfew and also avoid 'share cornering' by savy ones having money and access to the modalities, with or without the support of Karvy or any other broker [ which Mr. Ananathraman exposed last year ] Thank you Ranganathan 23:06:  7-11-2007
