| Why ? Shaving Lotions and Tooth Pastes contain Moisturising Agents. They get in touch with the skin.
Do we wash them off or leave it on the skin and make it glow ? Despite daily shave and brush for 40 years, I do not think that either my face glows or the teeth sparkle. |

| What is a moistursing lotion ? | |
| About 60 - 70% water, 20 % oil / oily matter and 5% Water holding chemical like Glycerin, normally called Moisturising Agents plus perfume and slogans. Mositurising agents can absorb moisture from the air and slow down the evaporation of water from the body - Oil can also do the same job | |
| The drawback as I see it | |
| Million means 1 followed by 6 zeros - 10,00,000. Billion is 1 followed by 9
Zeros - 1000 Millions. Trillions is 1000 Billions or Million x Million or 1 followed by 12 zeros. This is American use of the
term which is now universally followed Body contains only 20 Trillion cells. 90% of a cell's weight is accounted by water. Face, which is roughly 1 by 8 of the body / roughly 12% volume, may contain 2 Trillion Cells Can a lotion provide this much water to the cells or even supplement it ! I do not think so. It is the water we drink gets distributed to the 20 Trillion cells. We can do nothing much about the internal plumbing system and the pipes and valves that we are provided with. Overfeeding / extra provision for any one area is not going to balance the distribution. For this reason, I consider Moistursing Lotions to be of questionable utility |
