Let them demonstrate that first. Soaps can lead to hair breakage / hairloss. Consequently, your hair is in danger, if you use Soap for the hair - Hindustan Lever says that through the above advertisement. It is a LIE My translation of the Hindi Message, which gives the gist of the advertisement claim. By hair, they mean the head hair though hair is undefined. Even if it means head hair only, it is baseless. |

If what they say is true, it is a self confession that they are cheats. They are the largest seller of Toilet Soaps in India. Given the speed of action by Courts, sue them and make your grandchildren the beneficiary If you have been purposely misled by the other person for his benefit, and not for yours as well, as claimed, it amounts to plain and blatant breach of trust in a way. In case they honestly and truly mean what they said, they should stop selling their Toilet Soaps in India. Or assure the Public that their Toilet Soaps will not affect the body hair and confess, that for the promotion of the Shampoo, they are telling a blatant lie to the Public. |

Protein supplied to the body via the diet / food, is digested to amino acids in the gastro intestinal tract. The body then converts them into its own proteins required for growth or needed for the repairing of body cells, tissues, muscles and organs. Body makes over 40000 proteins from the food that we take, to suit the body needs, if my recollection is right. External protein feed is to a dead piece, the hair, sounds far fetched. How many people gained with Colgate's Keratin based Optima Shampoo in India ? The Food that we eat, stays in the stomach for 3 to 4 hours normally, gets mixed thoroughly and goes into the intestine for digestion. These are basic science facts that we learn in elementary classes. Recollect them now. |

| The protein in the hair
is called Keratin. It is produced by the Body. The harder Keratin goes
to the Nails. The softer Keratin is for the Hair. This softer Keratin goes
to the head hair - top and bottom. You know that the excess just does not go in excess to the
eye brows, eye lashes, and body hair.
Should not Soap weaken the Nails and the body hair as well ? Weakening of the 'hair protein' as well as restoration of protein are not established facts of Medicine. So to present an unproven fact, is a blatant misleading act to fool Millions |

must have used Soaps as there was not much of shampoo till early 20th Century.
And Lever is more than 150 years old. It was not
making shampoo then.
Do their records show that their soaps harmed the hair ? If no, it is a false claim. If yes, then Many must have lost the hair and become bald, if Clinic Plus advertisement is true and honest. Their Children and Grand Children must also turn/ed bald due to Hereditary hair loss inflicted upon by Lever's Soaps in many parts of the World. Those who lost should seek proper legal counsel / compensation in their respective countries, now that they 'have the confessional statement' from Levers |

think that Lever advertised in 2003 or so, for their Hamam Soap, one advertisement
said why go for a Soap and shampoo, when Hamam Soap can do both the jobs,
safely. [ Or if my recall is not accurate, it may have been for
Lever's some other soap. It matters not for the comments in this page ]
In 1957, they used to show a footballer washing his head hair with Lifebuoy. [ I also started using Lifebuoy and stopped 'shikkakai and weekly oil bath'. Now I know, it was wrong. But at 14, I was misled by their advertisement ] |

| People in tropical climate
have body hair for Sun protection. If Soaps can damage
the hair, not many males in India should have body hair. If the
soap does not affect the eye brow, body hair and the beard, how can it
selectively affect the scalp hair to such an extent that people have to
rush to buy Clinic ?
Only common sense and a minute thinking is sufficient
for anyone to realise that Hindustan Lever is guilty of Broadcasting a
lie through the Television
Please do not think that they do not know. They brazenly assume that the public are gulliable fools / morons, who would unthinkingly accept whatever is dished out, with colourful advertisements. It is an insult to the Public and to their own potential and present customers |

| Why
not they advertise and sell this Shampoo in America with such Claims ?
Suing a company is a far more fashionable act in America. The Cigarette Companies were ordered to pay 140 Billion Dollars only, in a class action suit, perhaps about 2 years back - for having withheld from the public some disturbing findings / continuing to present a false picture to the public. So Lever would never dare to make 'such a claim in America'. |

| With increase in population
and the need for 'shaving', Gillette expands its sales every year.
I think, Proctor and Gamble bought Gillette
recently. The Sales and the share prices of both Proctor and Gamble as
well as Gillette has gone up in the first week of April 2006.
Bauer [ excuse me if the spelling is wrong ] sell the 'shavers' for Ladies. The expanding base of these companies disprove Lever's claim - if soap weakens the hair, the facial hair should have weakened first, reducing the need of shaving and shaving products |

is hardly any support if a single individual questions a giant. Isn't it
shameful ?
One shocking thing that I have noted from 1963 onwards is the prevalent cowardice and to be mute and silent by the majority of people - for umpteen half hearted excuses. 'What can I do' is the normal answer by many. It is a question and not an answer. If they answer the question, something more can be achieved on the positive side than the downside glide One of my well wishers advised me to avoid mentioning the name of Hindustan Lever. Will Hindustan Lever file a 'Defamation Case ' against me and make me suffer, with their money power and the other things that money can buy ? Let me check it out. Now that I am 66 plus, the Courts have to finish the case, if any, in quick time. That would be good for all |
