Management is nothing but Common Sense Plus - and the plus is a bit difficult to articulate precisely
This definition, expounded in an article in Harvard Business Review, July - August 1966, perhaps by Theodore Levitt is a master piece - to me at least, to go for the MBA course at IIM, Ahmedabad. I have checked the validity of that definition for over 41 years now.

Mussolini, while in power, visited a Church. The church bell did not ring in his honour. At the time of leaving the church, he asked an explanation from the Bishop for the 'disrespect' shown to him.
The Bishop replied that there are 22 reasons. The first reason is that there is no bell in the church. Mussolini did not bother to hear the other 21 factors.
