How did I invent ?

'Early bird catches the Worm'!   Fine !   But why did the worm die ?

Did it get up earlier to reach the death spot in time or had a late night out ? This sort of thinking is in my blood since 50 plus years. That led to a different look at available facts and the invention

Swapna is a simple and safe formulation based mainly on natural ingredients. The special ingredient is Common Sense Plus / csp, a word used in Harvard Business Review of July-August 1966 issue, that gave me hope to risk my job and accept IIM, Ahmedabad admission. They lowered the quality of Toilet Soaps in 1993. And there is Fair & Lovely - nothing fair or lovely except the name. There is not a single proof for effect despite 30 years sales.

Parachute attempted to portray advances in Hairloss control with their hair fall therapie advertisements. That they did not provide meaningful proof for their claim is an important point to reflect - parachute. What happened to their Tea Tree Dandruff removal treatment ?

The Supreme Court of India had ruled that  "the object is to bring honesty and truth in the relationship between the manufacturer and the consumer" and  "if  the general impression conveyed is false, the most punctilious and scrupulous accuracy in immaterial minutiae will not render the representations true. This is often violated and nobody punished in India for the last 50 years

Many of the companies make unsubstantiated claims. P&G admitted in court that their messages 'based on naturals' was wrong. Lever's water purifier claim is under challenge from Forbes. 'Height Increase' claim of a company was asked to be withdrawn in July 2010. Johnson & Johnson was hauled up by FDA in 2007.

Reflect: Mob mentality has galloped ahead, leaving logic to the dust bin. Who gained ?

Public got duped. Yet these fellows go free with minor reprimand. If I were the President of India, I would have jailed Lever's Chairman to start with. Can a person who is a Graduate claim to be a post graduate ? If not, is not the offence of these companies similar and deserves severe punishment ?

Realistically speaking, we are alone in a way. Your defense is to be on guard. Your action is to Boycott a company and spread the bad news in your circle.

No liar has had the guts to shout openly in public that he is lying.

[From 1952 to 1970, I mainly used Sunlight and Lifebuoy. Even today, I recollect Sunlight which would remove easily coffee, pan and edible items / oily stains. Nowadays they do not go, even if I use white, blue or pink wash products ]

Petrol Price was increased, shouting about the under recovery of Oil Marketing Companies. Media, as usual, was dozing. Perhaps HPCL reported profit in 2010. No one asked as to where they were making 'over recoveries' ? Why not Sell Rashtrapathi Bhavan like 3G and get some money ?   

Minister for Petroleum, who gives me the impression of Minister for Mukesh, cried about 12% Tax in Bihar. And Delhi reduces the Tax on Diesel from 20% and make it cheaper to the earlier price - my criticism in petrol pricing page, written last year.

Reliance Industries and ONGC are near equal suppliers of Natural Gas in India. Chairman of Reliance is Mr. Mukesh Ambani. What his words are worth ? I do not know. But his signature on a Memorandum of Understanding is not worth the paper it is written on - Reliance's counsel in Supreme Court. Not bad, is it ? Reliance is a near monopolist in petrochemicals.

25-7-2010: Preity Zinta has been issued a bailable arrest warrant for failing to furnish in time, the annual returns to the Registrar of Companies - Times of India. To me, it is a minor administrative offense and pales in comparison to the 'duping' in hair and skin products
